Why Won't My iPhone Open the Door?

Innovators! Take heed!

Scrambling to get out the door without dropping something? Hands full of miscellaneous along with the jangling key fob and iPhone you grabbed last? Wouldn't it be great if your iPhone would just open doors and start the car for you so you wouldn't need keys or fobs?

Electronic calendars are great. Unless, of course, you want to add an appointment.

A shower stimulates nerve receptors and triggers thinking. But notepads, pens and voice recorders are not waterproof.

Digital cameras let us take bazillions of pictures. We are lulled into creating a sorting and labeling nightmare. Where are the applications to tell us that 26 of 37 scenic vistas are virtually indistinguishable from one another and that # 23 is the one to keep? Or that recommend we delete 5, 8, 17, 18 and 21 because they are blurry, though essentially like many others? How about the application that lets you configure the file name format of your pictures and auto-fills significant portions? For example: date - sequence - location - names.jpg.

The worst thing about banks is making deposits. Bank hours are dismal and ATM deposits are not only limited geographically, but they don't provide any verifiable before surrendering your checks. There must be a way of making deposits easier.

Speaking of banks, in the age of scanners, not to mention decades of standardized account and routing number fonts, why do tellers have to type a book just to accept a deposit?

Newspapers are struggling and yet none seem interested in giving me what I would appreciate. What if the local paper could print my favorite sections of the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe along with my local paper and deliver it daily? Instead of competing with each other, they could cooperate. I might not buy all of these separately, but I could certainly tell you which pieces of each I would love to be able to tuck under my arm and take out on the deck along with my morning coffee.

      Thanks for the link.

There is also an iPhone app now that allows you to take a picture of a check you want to deposit and then submit it directly to your bank. I will be a big fan when my bank offers this capability!

I expect more and more great things from my iPhone.

I like your style, the fact that your site is a little bit different makes it so interesting, I get fed up of seeing same-old-same-old all of the time. I've just stumbled this page for you
